A former advisor to David Cameron, who appeared on the first two series of TV show Dragons’ Den has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Doug Richard, 56, has been quizzed by police and released on bail until March.

The multi-millionaire technology entrepreneur has denied the allegations.

He has worked closely with Mr Cameron since 2007, accompanying him on an official trip to Africa in 2011, as well as working alongside the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to establish a ‘School for Start-ups’.
